What’s Coming in 2026?

Ready or not, here it comes: 2026! What will happen during this trip around the sun is unknown, but one thing for sure: Every day will be one day closer to Jesus’ return! No doubt, there will be wars and rumors of wars, experiences both joyful and sorrowful. Our nation will celebrate 250 years since our birth. And what about NBBC?

As this new year opens, we’re already dealing with changes. Angela Davidson has finished her leadership of the children’s ministry, and we thank her for her ministry here; a new leadership team is overseeing this vital area (see Children’s Ministry section below). Our church secretary, Misty Fraker, has taken a position teaching art at Valor School in San Antonio; we will miss her greatly. And the search for a new senior pastor continues – so pray for the elders and advisory committee to be wise, and for God to bring us the right man to lead NBBC in the coming years.

This winter-spring, we are preparing for whatever comes, and looking forward with anticipation to what God has in store for us. Through the month of January, our focus will be on important aspects of the Christian life – because as Scripture reminds us, it is a battle. We’ll talk about how to ‘finish the race’ strong, and win; how to ‘abide in Christ,’ how to ‘walk in the Spirit,’ and how to effectively pray.

Then, starting in February and on through the spring, we will take a guided tour of “Things to Come,” a look at events on the biblical prophetic calendar. This will include the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the Judgment Seat of Christ, the Second Coming, the Millennial Kingdom, and more! Along the way, we’ll celebrate the Resurrection – which ‘set the scene’ for all these yet-future events, and we’ll welcome Vladimir Mitnitsky of Jews for Jesus here from Israel, to lead a “Christ in the Passover” service.

We don’t know what 2026 will bring…but we can know WHO we will go through this coming year with – and that is all we need to know. Get ready, get set…
