At New Braunfels Bible Church, we are dedicated to creating a safe place as young families lay a foundation of faith for their children through a partnership between the church and family.

My dear church friends and family,

Most of you know I have stepped into the position of Interim Children’s Ministry Director until the position is filled permanently. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve our children and their families for this interim period. The Lord has really opened my eyes to just how important this ministry is, and that as a church we have a responsibility to train our children well. Biblical literacy is alarmingly low within evangelical churches today, and as a result many of our children are leaving the faith when confronted with a secular worldview.

We need to do better! We must do better for the very survival of our Christian faith in this post-modern, godless culture. So, I am appealing to you all to, first, stand strong in your own faith and be examples of love and grace to everyone. Our children are always watching and learning! Secondly, please pray for the children of NBBC. Pray for their families as they navigate raising their children with wisdom and grace in the difficult times in which we live.

Finally, I would like to ask you to consider investing your time, experience and availability to serve alongside our wonderful team of people dedicated to seeing our kiddos grow in the faith and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I’m not just talking about teaching a sweet Bible story with a coloring page on a Sunday morning. That doesn’t cut it anymore! Our children need to know WHY we believe what we believe. The need to understand the foundations of our faith and the evidence for its accuracy. This is truly a battle for their hearts and minds, and I want to think outside of the box and explore the best ways to make their faith real.

I need people who will serve on Sundays. Let me know your preference…. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, subbing or other. I need others to provide snacks, maybe lead a midweek club for girls and for boys, teach a skill or host a Saturday event… the possibilities are endless!

My goal is to grow our Sunday School hour. This is the time where teaching is more intentional, where children are learning the priority of meeting together, and where they learn to co-operate in a classroom setting. The best part is, we have excellent classes for parents to attend while the kids are learning.
