Getting Some Questions Answered
Q: When Jesus died on the cross, did He pay for the sins of everyone in the world?
A: Absolutely! (1 John 2:2; John 1:29; 2 Cor 5:19; etc.)
Q: Why then isn’t everyone saved, if all sins are paid for?
A: The cross pays for all sins; faith is required for salvation.
Q: If a Christian falls into sin and dies, what happens to him?
A: He’ll miss out on fellowship – but still go to heaven.
Q: Why does an out-of-fellowship Christian still go to heaven?
A: Because he is a ‘new creation’ in Christ!
Q: Jews in Palestine were required to be baptized for forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38): What about Jews today?
A: Jews today have the same experience as Gentiles (Acts 13).
Q: Is being justified the same as being forgiven?
A: No; justification pertains to our legal relationship to God; forgiveness pertains to our personal relationship with God.
Q: Are the conditions for fellowship with God always the same?
A: No…but they are always simple, and available!
“…by Him everyone who believes
is justified…” Acts 13:39
